Greenwood Village Luxury Real Estate
Nestled 11 minutes away from Littleton City, Greenwood Village is another one of Arapahoe’s home-rule municipalities. The total land area is 8.3 square miles. It currently has 13,925 residents as of the 2010 census.
The town that would eventually become Greenwood Village came out as a result of prospectors choosing to settle down and establish farmsteads after failing to find gold. For most of the later 19th Century and the early 20th, Greenwood Village was a typical farming town. It was incorporated in 1950, and gained home rule eighteen years later. Much of the area would remain rural farming communities until recently, when developments went underway across town.
Amenities and Famous Landmarks
Ever since the development undertaken throughout the past 5 decades, Greenwood Village has established a lot of business centers, public utilities, medical facilities, schools, shopping districts, and key transport points. Urban development continues to this day, with acreage and great access to the Denver Tech Center. Close by you will also find great shopping, activities and restaurants in places like the DTC, Park Meadows Mall and The Streets at Southglenn.
The DTC is home to many of Denver’s major technological businesses. Greenwood Village covers a good portion of the DTC, with companies like IQNavigator and CoBank holding offices in the area.
- Curtis Arts & Humanities Center
The Arts & Humanities Center is the home of Greenwood Village’s main events. Whether it’s a school-related event, a civic meeting, or a big party, expect it to happen at Curtis.
Greenwood Village Homes
Even with all the urban progress affecting Greenwood Village, many of its homes still retain the rural feel that was a signature for the Village for much of its existence. Some of the newer constructions also emulate the classic small town feel of the pre-incorporated Greenwood Village. At $160,000 to $5,000,000, there is bound to be a home that any buyer would love.
